Flametect Nitro WD (wood) is formulated to penetrate deep into wood and timber based products to provide a durable flame retardant finish.  

It reacts when exposed to fire, combustible gases and tars that normally generate by untreated wood and converts them to a carbon char barrier and harmless carbon dioxide and water.

Wood loses strength in a fire only at the rate at which its cross section is reduced. The surface char acts to insulate underlying wood and reduces the rate at which the cross sectional area is reduced.  The carbon dioxide and water vapor dilute the combustible gases to help reduce flamespread.

Flametect WD can be spray applied or for even surfaces such as Timber decking, Sheds, Cabins or plyboard, MDF or strandboard it can be applied by roller or brush.

Applied according to instructions it will acheive BS 476 surface spread of Flame.

Average coverage per liter is 4-6 sq metres per litre.
